MAKE IT A ‘HAPPY’ HOLI FOR YOUR SKIN! 5 DIY recipes for skincare and hair care this season.

The most vibrant festival is here – and so are the splashes of stubborn synthetic colors that refuse to not leave a mark on your skin or hair. The application of these colors during Holi - dry, wet, or greasy - can damage our skin.

So, apart from using organic and natural colors that are gentle on your skin and easy to wash off as well, what else can we do for that extra skin care during this colorful day? Let us guide you in few easy steps!

PRE-HOLI CARE

a) Lather yourself in oil DIY recipe of an Oil mask - Mix equal parts sesame oil, Almond oil & Coconut oil and apply all over body & Hair.

(b) Rub Ice on Face to reduce penetration of harsh colour in skin.
(c)  Keep your sunglasses handy.
(d) Tie up or braid your hair to ensure least damage or style it with a scarf.
(e) Sun Block Please - Protect your skin from all that Uv exposure.

POST HOLI SELF-CARE

  1. Remove Colors When Wet and Then With Warm Water:

The best time to remove colors is when they are wet. So, have a bath before the powders dry up on your skin. Use lukewarm water to wash off the colors. Don’t rub your skin too hard or it will cause unnecessary damage.
Exfoliate with the RAS Lemon & Mint Body Polish.



Here is a DIY recipe for a body ubtan:
Red Lentil Powder - 3 table spoon,
Rice Powder - 1 table spoon,
Sesame Seed powder - 2 tablespoon,
Orange Peel Powder (optional) 1 table spoon and
Yogurt - 3 tablespoon.

  1. Hair:

Once you have rinsed your hair with plain water, go for a mild shampoo and conditioner to clean your hair properly.
 Also, mix two tablespoons of olive oil with four tablespoons of honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Leave this mask on your hair for 20-30 minutes to provide the much needed moisture and rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

3. Gentle Exfoliation of face:

Renew skin and dead skin with this gentle exfoliation leave on Mask

Brown sugar (small particles) - 1/2 teaspoon
Green Gram Flour 1 teaspoon
Honey 1 teaspoon 
Mix together scrub in gentle circles and leave on for 5-10 mins.



  1. Soothing Face masks: 
    Level up the TLC with this soothing DIY face mask recipe that suits all skin types.
    Aloe Vera -2 Teaspoon
    Cucumber juice -1 tea spoon
    Oatmeal powder- 1 teaspoon
    1 Drop Frankincense Essential Oil/ Ras Face Elixir
    Rose hydrosol/ Rose Nectar Face Spritz Mix & apply evenly - leave on for 10 mins.
  2. Moisturize and Hydrate

    The harshness of chemical colors leave the skin very dry. Make sure you mask yourself in a good moisturizer and body oil to bring back the natural sheen of your skin. Also, keep your water bottle handy at all times!
