Your skin is the largest organ of your body and yet, many people neglect the care and attention it needs.  It is our shield against the outside world and also a true reflection of our inner health. It is essential to form rituals and practices that help you understand your skin and treat it the right way on a daily basis! Beauty & skincare rituals actually help in promoting self love, self confidence and a positive relationship with ourselves. It is not something that we do for our vanity or just to look our best but as we take care of ourselves we do so for our surroundings too! We’ve put together an easy-to-follow guide to the perfect skincare ritual for your concerns.

Normal, balanced skin

AM

Cleanse: Choose a gentle cleanser—powder cleansers work wonderfully for your skin type.

Tone: Pick a gentle hydrosol based mist to keep your skin pH balanced.

Moisturise: Use a light moisturiser/lightweight face oil to hydrate your skin without clogging your pores.

Protect: Make sure you wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 and reapply over the course of the day to safeguard your skin from the sun.

PM

Cleanse: Use a hard-working cleanser to clean up any makeup residue and the skincare you wore in the morning.

Serum: This is the best time to apply a high performance, antioxidant, vitamin C rich serum to keep your skin supple and radiant.

Moisturise: Use a light yet hydrating moisturiser/Face oil as a night treatment to seal the serum in. If your serum is oil based, you can skip this step.

Additional: We recommend using a gentle  exfoliator 2-3 times a week to avoid dead skin cell build-up.

Follow up your ritual with a Rose Quartz Roller or Gua Sha.

Dry skin

AM

Cleanse: Choose a gentle, cream-based cleanser or a cleansing lotion to start your day.(If need be can avoid over cleansing during the day)

Moisturise: Use a rich Face oil to keep your skin nourished through the day.

Protect: Make sure you wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 and reapply over the course of the day to safeguard your skin from the sun.

PM

Cleanse: Use a cleansing oil to clean up any makeup residue and the skincare you wore in the morning without stripping off the nourishment.

Tone (Optional): While dry skin doesn’t necessarily need toning, if you decide to use one, make sure it’s alcohol-free and packed with hydrating ingredients like plant extracts and hyaluronic acid.

Serum: This is the best time to apply a nourishing serum. Choose one with Vitamin C or precious plant oils.

Moisturise: End your day with an intensely hydrating moisturiser.

Eye cream: Incorporate a super potent and hydrating under-eye serum or cream to avoid any dryness around your eye area - Or apply extra of your elixir or serum as a treatment.

Additional: We recommend using a gentle exfoliator once a week to avoid dead skin cell build-up. Hydrate skin through the day with a calming Face mist.

Combination, oily or acne-prone skin

AM

Cleanse: Pick a gel-based or powder cleanser to get rid of excess oil that may have built up overnight.

Tone: Choose an alcohol-free toner with anti-bacterial ingredients like tea tree or peppermint to minimise your pores.

Serum: Use an antioxidant-rich serum with vitamins A, C and E. Make sure it’s non-comedogenic.

Moisturise: Opt for a gel-based moisturiser to effectively hydrate your skin without clogging your pores.

Protect: Make sure you wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 and reapply over the course of the day to safeguard your skin from the sun. Try one with zinc oxide for a matte finish.

PM

Cleanse: Use cleansing oil followed by a gel/powder cleanser at night as well to ensure a thorough clean up of any makeup residue and the skincare you wore in the morning.

Tone/Serum: Incorporate a hydrating & Niacinamide based essence, serum or toner to minimise your pores and brighten your skin

Moisturise: Pick a slightly more nourishing, yet lightweight moisturiser for the night. 

Additional: If you have combination or oily skin, we recommend using an exfoliator 2-3 times a week to avoid sebum and dead skin cell build-up. You can also incorporate a weekly clay mask into your routine to keep your clean fresh and clean. If you have active acne, we recommend staying away from physical exfoliation.

Sensitive skin

 AM

Cleanse: Choose a light, sulfate-free cleansing lotion or cream for the morning.

Tone: Opt for an alcohol-free toner with soothing botanicals like chamomile to prevent inflammation.

Moisturise: Ensure you use a light, artificial fragrance-free moisturiser to hydrate your skin.

Protect: Make sure you wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 and reapply over the course of the day to safeguard your skin from the sun. 

PM

Cleanse: Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser to clean up any makeup residue and the skincare you wore in the morning.

Moisturise: Use a repairative moisturiser or antioxidant-rich face oil to nurture your skin while you sleep and strengthen your skin barrier.

Additional: We recommend using a gentle exfoliator once a week and using a calming face mask 1-2 times a week. Use a calming Face Mist through the day to keep skin balanced and hydrated.

Serum: Use an antioxidant-rich serum or a potent vitamin C blend to fade dark spots and pigmentation.

Moisturise: Give your skin a boost of hydration and keep it supple with a light moisturiser.

Protect: Make sure you wear a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 - 50 and reapply over the course of the day to safeguard your skin from the sun.

PM

Cleanse: Use a rich, hydrating cleanser with radiance-boosting ingredients to clean up any makeup residue and the skincare you wore in the morning.

Serum: Pick a vitamin C rich serum that will help reduce 

Moisturise:Use a high performance  antioxidant-rich Face Oil with ingredients like tamanu oil, 24k gold, evening primrose and pomegranate to reduce dullness, repair your skin barrier and brighten uneven skin tone.

Additional: We recommend exfoliating your skin 2-3 times a week and using a brightening face mask 1-2 times a week. Incorporate a face massage into your routine with a Gua Sha or face roller 4-5 times a week.
