For the last 25 years, one kind-hearted woman has dedicated her life to caring for animals that are abandoned, blind, injured, or hurt in accidents. She lives at the shelter full-time and takes care of everything on her own, with no staff to help.

The shelter is located in Mandir Hasoud, Shri Ram Nagar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and is currently home to 170 cows, 65 dogs, and 4 cats. Most of these animals were rescued from roads or given up by people who couldn’t care for them anymore. A local vet helps with treatment, though his services are paid.
